“A baby is born with a need to be loved – and never outgrows it.”
―Frank Howard Clark
We are parents and professionals that believe that every newborn has the right to feel loved, develop, and thrive, by raising awareness, education, and practice of Kangaroo Care/ skin to skin contact.
We help unite, mobilize, and support parents, professionals, and the volunteer communities that help improve the healthcare outcomes and realize all the benefits for parents and baby of this practice.
The International Kangaroo Care Awareness Day (May 15th) is a WORLDWIDE event that celebrates and recognizes Kangaroo Care parents and professionals since 2011. Join us and celebrate in your own community.
It’s easy to participate from anywhere:
- Show your pride–share photos of kangaroo care / skin-to-skin celebrations you’ve been a part of and tag #KangarooCare
- Honor colleagues, family, and friends who help increase kangaroo care in any way.
- Share photos of babies being held.
- Engage staff and administration of the hospital in kangaroo care activities.
